Old School Glass Pipe

Its seemingly simple design belies the challenging process behind its creation, as the rapid-fire, hot and fast technique required to make this pipe has been mastered by only a select few.
The design herald for the Old School is an ancient shape depicted from the Amsterdam Pipe Museums Asian section under APM-1998-A. This elongated throat style and small bowl were made to maximize / fully utilize a scarce herb in the middle kingdom: Tobacco. As a glass pipe, the shape also lends itself to traditional concentrates like Brick Hash and Tarball. The thick and sticky consistency sticks to the inside wall of the bowl. Imagine Hash on a Tack / Hash under Glass technique.
Functional
Old School started it’s life on 19 mm clear, but has since been moved up to be constructed on 25 mm x 4mm thick clear Pyrex borosilicate. Canes are employed to shape and strengthen the glass prior to the red hot ( 1950 °F ) stretch. A pair of glass shears are employed to create the bowl constriction and 90° angled bowl. Note: This design does not have a third hole – bowl and mouthpiece holes only.
Art
Prior to beginning the pipe, several DNA canes are created in the design color of choice. In addition to reinforcing the constriction, the color canes provide visual interest and beauty as the swirled drops of glass are stretched along the neck of the pipe.
Each Old School Glass Pipe is meticulously handmade in the USA, ensuring exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

Many, many years ago I had a pipe called Blue Dot. Blue Dot served me well through many concerts and parties. Then it happened, Blue Dot broke. 20 or so years later, while looking at glass, I found the above pipe. I’m in love. This is a near perfect example of a one hitter (it’s missing Blue Dot’s small coloured dot on the bowl), good for super tasty hits. The small bowl exit hole, chamber under the bowl and stem curve means no ash hits. Cleanup, soak in iso overnight and use a pipe cleaner and hot water to finish up.
