Find the Right Glass Pipe Shape

Every shape smokes a little differently. Bowl size, stem length and whether there is water involved change how hot, how big and how smooth each hit feels.

  • Spoon pipes: the everyday pipe. A bowl, a carb and a short stem.
  • Chillums: a straight tube with no carb. Small, quick and pocketable.
  • Sherlock and Gandalf pipes: curved and long stems that cool the smoke on the way to you.
  • Steamrollers: an open-ended tube for a big, fast hit.
  • Hash pipes: smaller and vented bowls built for hash and concentrates.
  • Bubblers: hand pipes with a built-in water chamber.

What makes our glass different

Our pipes are hand-blown from borosilicate tubing and annealed in a kiln to relieve stress in the glass. Two of our designs, the Ash Catcher and the cyclonic Typhoon, were original Chameleon ideas that were later copied by importers. Glass Pipe Questions

Are Chameleon Glass pipes really made in the USA?

Our glass pipes are hand-blown at our shop in Phoenix, Arizona. A small number of imported pieces are sold under our McCoy Oilers sub-brand, and those are labeled separately.

Which pipe shape is best for a first glass pipe?

A mid-size spoon pipe. It is easy to pack, easy to clean, and forgiving while you get used to working the carb.

What is the difference between borosilicate and regular glass?

Borosilicate glass handles fast temperature changes much better than the soda-lime glass used in many cheap imports, so it is far less likely to crack from a lighter's heat. More in soft glass vs. hard glass.

Do you sell one-of-a-kind pieces?

Yes. Piece of the Day listings are single pieces. Once one sells, it is gone.
