Dolphin Glass Water Pipe

I’ve heard biologists refer to Dolphins as the people of the sea. At a young age, I connected instantaneously with a playful dolphin that gazed, then smiled at me through the clear hull of a glass bottom boat off Clear Water Beach, Florida. The physical pull from the center of my body was palpable. Every time I get close to a Dolphin, that bond repeats. Unsurprisingly, while I was arranging this photo shoot, that pull happened to me as I observed our glass Dolphin sculpture through the clear wall of the pyrex bong you appear to be interested in! I think you’re going to love it too!

Functional

Standing at 14 to 16 inches in height and meticulously crafted on 50mm wide by 5mm thick clear Pyrex, this pipe showcases a classic bubble base. Features include a wrapped / worked mouthpiece, ice indent, generous reservoir and a low profile 18mm Mercury Seal joint. While traditional water pipes used to feature a hole / rubber grommet in the midsection, modern crafting methods draw inspiration from scientific lamp working. The Mercury Seal technique involves a lip wrap around the hole, then grinding the inner wall to create a secure, durable glass-on-glass connection for the diffused downstem.

Art

The Dolphin Glass Water Pipe starts with silver fuming that creates mesmerizing Blue and Green color change. The mouthpiece is worked with complimentary colors for visual attraction. Each piece features an impressive glass sculpture of a Cobalt Blue Dolphin hugging the glass as though it has just breached the waves of water in the bong reservoir. As it reaches the apex of it’s jump, you catch the dolphin eyeing you standing at the gunwale of the boat before it flops back into the water with a splash. The splash is represented in abstract blue dream waves on either side of the dolphin. That sculpture is wrapped around the neck for you to look down upon and enjoy with every draw …. wait a sec … did the dolphin just wink at you?
