The Ascension Glass Pipe is a chunky inside out with multi layer silver and gold fume for an amazing color change show as you ascend to the higher plane.

Functional

Constructed on super heavy 45 mm diameter x 5 mm wall thickness clear Pyrex borosilicate using cup technique. Cupping the raw glass tube looks alot like making a wine glass. The tube is heated to deformation temperature ( ~1800°F ) in the torch. A quick make uses a carbon rod. Centripital force also opens it up as the glass is spun in the fingers. Fume is added to the interior and baked into the glass with the jet flame of the torch. Clear stringers are added on the inside to trap the fume and add depth and dimensionality to the inside out.

As you enjoy your pipe, the color-changing fume turns Blue, Green, Pink and Purple. Having so many colors is accomplished with a base layer of silver fume that is encapsulated behind thick clear glass stringers. Then, a second layer of gold fume (Tropical) is delicately applied over the clear stringers, resulting in a mesmerizing multi-layered color change as you indulge in your favorite herbs.
