Most of the time, attempting to find that perfect other color can negatively impact the natural balance of two. It is said that exceptions prove the rules, and in the case of a three way, choice of colors, there are known triples that work well. Each of the Threesome designs offer three colors that play well together.

Functional

Constructed on super heavy 45 mm diameter x 5 mm wall thickness clear Pyrex borosilicate using cup technique. Cupping the raw glass tube looks alot like making a wine glass. The tube is heated to deformation temperature ( ~1800°F ) in the torch. Centripital force and a pure carbon rod opens it up as the glass is spun in the fingers. After decoration, the body is shaped and left thick for a good feel in hand.

Art

Color stringers are added on the inside to begin the deco process. After the solid color stringers are melted in, pulverized glass, known as frit, is added and melted into the design you see. Applying frit behind the stringer adds depth and dimensionality to the inside out.
