This would easily be 3+ stars if it was reasonably (say $15?) priced (this is more expensive than an entire NICE backpack and a lot less material, even though it’s mostly the same). It’s cute & mostly works.
There actually is no “smell safe”, or at least that’s what I’m assuming they are calling the silver pouch in the pictures. Mine is just black and made of the material of cheap gas station $1 rain ponchos.
The outer material & other fabrics are pretty nice, the construction is definitely not awful. It came with a very cute little 3-digit combo “lock” which could be snipped with wire cutters (or probably even kitchen scissors).
But the problem is, it’s overpriced & not great quality.
Like, I wouldn’t complain if it was expensive yet well-made. One of the flaps and a zipper stitch already ripped – 2 weeks after I got it – and I don’t even use it very much. Unfortunately, it’s both expensive and average quality at the same time. I find that offensive tbh. I’m a buy-for-life type of person, so I’ll spend $150 on something like this if it checks all my boxes and will last my natural life (I cannot believe this thing is $50 wow).
The little “charcoal” padding in the inner pocket is a really cool design feature. Again, this is fairly well thought out and designed, but some of the zipper placements are frustrating & it literally just fell apart in a few days of use. There’s a warranty, so that’s good at least. Here’s hoping they actually honor their word.
TL;DR, $50 purse that rips easily & doesn’t have all the features in it’s own photos.
/e: I ended up taking the option of a refund rather than a replacement, and Chameleon was great about it. Most people will probably have better luck than I did with this pouch; if there’s a new vendor coming through, that’s encouraging as well.

Hi Kyle,
Send over the picture of the failure and we’ll get this traded out for you. Normally, the Ryot products are good quality, but I do agree that if it is made in China (it is), it should come with a Chinese price tag (it doesn’t). I’m bringing a new supplier on in February to provide an alternate – fingers crossed.
