About the Alien Dichro Image Glass Pipe
This piece is fabricated with specially licensed imagery from dichro maker CBS, one of several unique effigies made in the late 90s that helped move Dichromatic Glass from strict military-specification origins into the fluid creativity of glass pipe functional art.
How It’s Made
The imaged tube is sleeved under vacuum to create an extremely thick tube with large images. While still hot, pulverized colored glass is added to the tube in a process called “backing,” with the color chosen to match the dichro’s own color. The large tube is then heated and stretched down to a workable size for bench melting.

How to Use
- Pack the bowl and light at an angle to draw flame evenly across the surface.
- Cover the carb (if present) while lighting, then release as you inhale to clear the chamber.
- Draw slowly and steadily for a smooth, even hit.
Care & Cleaning
Clean with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt, shake gently to loosen residue, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Let it air dry fully before reuse.
