It’s Christmas time! While pot brownies are the most famous and beloved baked goods, we all know Santa and the elves prefer cookies. The holidays are the perfect time to get together with your friends to share your favorite herb recipes, and perhaps even experiment a bit to create new holiday traditions. So, what are some of your options for infused baked goods this year? Take a look!
Cannabis Chocolate Chip Cookies
The key ingredient in the classic jumbo chocolate chip cannabis cookies is the cannabutter. As a baked baker myself, I recommend a Magical Butter maker because i have one and it works. There are others available too. Old fashioned? No problem! You can easily make your own canna-butter in a double boiler. Bring the water to a boil, reduce the temperature to simmer and place your double boiler. Melt 1/2 lb. of butter, and put in a cannabis “tea bag.” (Put a 1/2 oz. of cannabis in a cloth, fold it like a burrito, and tie it with cooking twine. I prefer grinding the cannabis first) Add 1 cup of water to the herb and butter mix, and let the cannabis bag steep for 3-6 hours. Check the water in the double boiler and refill as needed. Remove the cannabis cloth from the butter, squeezing it to make sure as much of the butter as possible remains in the double boiler. Pour the butter into a foil pan, and put it in the freezer until the mixture has started to set (you don’t want it to freeze). Poke a hole in the bottom of the foil pan to drain off the excess water.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Mix your flour (1-1/3 cup), baking soda (1/4 tsp), salt (1/4 tsp) in a medium bowl. Cream the cannabutter (1/2 cup), granulated sugar (1/3 cup), and packed brown sugar in a bowl. Combine the bowls and mix them with a mixer or spoon. Add vanilla extract (2 tsp) and one egg. Finally, add the chocolate chips. Measure out cookies (1/4 cup) on a cookie sheet, and bake for 18-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes or enjoy it hot.
How to Add Some Pizazz to Santa’s Cannabis Chocolate Chip Cookies
Christmastime is also the perfect time to experiment and have fun with Santa’s Cannabis Chocolate Chip Cookies. Split up the batter, or make multiple batches, and conduct a few “taste testing” parties.
You can kick the cookies up a notch by adding other bits (caramel, white chocolate or heath bar) to the recipe or adding a small amount of mint extract. Try whisking coffee grounds or espresso powder into the flour to add a hint of mocha. For a bit more crunch and munch, add your favorite cereal to the classic jumbo chocolate chip cannabis cookies. Add pretzels, mini Oreo cookies, funfetti, coconut, graham cracker bits, or other crunchy snack favorites to the mix. Better yet, if you’ve never dipped your cannabis cookies into melted chocolate, you’ve really been missing out. Heck, the double boiler is already out on the stove! You might also enjoy a gooey Nutella-filled Cannabis Chocolate Chip Cookie. Or you can fold each taste-testing mix into a pan and make Cannabis cookies of varied flavors. Got the munchies yet?
If it feels like you want a little extra, top off the delectable experience with a drag from one of your favorite handmade Chameleon Glass pipes. There’s nothing quite like it. Even Santa has his own glass pipes (#1225). It’s the perfect way to relax, enjoy the holidays, and melt into the chocolate and the comradeship of friends and great baked goods. There are so many options for cookies, baked goods, and really wonderful food this time of year. What’s your favorite infused recipe?
