Fueled by curiosity, I delved into my collection of fluid and aerodynamics books, determined to engineer an extract-oriented apparatus from scratch, dedicated to eliminating drag. The solution lay in two crucial factors: reducing surface tension of the water-air interface and creating a smooth, unobstructed airflow pathway devoid of turbulent disruptions. The main perc chamber’s bulb tackles the surface tension issue, while the sleeved dazy perc ensures an “edge-less” passage, curbing turbulence. This is the epitome of low-drag percolation, truly The Real McCoy.

While the bottom chamber can be filled, it’s important to note that it introduces additional drag. During rigorous testing, an unexpected discovery surfaced: not all domeless nails are equal when it comes to drag. Hence, we’ve equipped this model with a 19mm female quartz domeless nail that exhibits minimal inherent drag.

For the flower enthusiasts, fret not! While designed with extracts in mind, this rig functions splendidly with a female jointed bowl, which is conveniently included with the piece.
