Abstract Distraction Glass Pipe

Your Daily Driver. A durable, thick, colorful pipe that changes color with use. The design of the Abstract Distraction Glass Pipe is based on the size, shape and weight. The decoration choices; color selection, use of cane, and layer position of the color changing fume, are left up to our artists. Each one is slightly unique from the next. Heavy in hand with excellent function.

Functional

The Abstract is fabricated with 38mm x 4mm borosilicate Pyrex tubing. Silver and Gold are atomized into fume and set on the inside of the tube. The silver is then encapsulated behind both clear and color rod lines. A layer of Gold is then atomized and fumed over all the decorations. The mix of fume, clear and colored rods (squiggles) provides the decoration and color changing effect. A 1/2″ carbon push hot forms a large bowl.

Art

Prepare to be delighted by its enchanting pink hue. Color change leans to purple and red courtesy of the silver and gold fuming over color melting technique in the interior. Melted into the interior? Yes. Inside Out or Double Blown technique takes it’s name from working the INSIDE of the Pyrex tube. While more difficult, Inside Out provides far more depth and dimensionality to your chunky functional art.
