2015 Arizona Project

The 2015 Arizona Project was a resounding success, with many new and returning artists attending to take part in workshops featuring Marcel Braun, Jay Gordon of Evol Empire, and Jason Gordon of Live Free Designs.  Marcel continued his tutelage on crucible dip techniques, and helped to create several vessels worthy of any glass collection.  Jay Gordon was set up on the lathe, and showed how to create different perc designs for water pipes. He also assisted in the making of numerous technically superb designs.  Jason Gordon taught flip disc bowl and platter techniques in several mediums, including adding different colors, previously created art, dichro and UV reactive glass to crucible dips before working the molten glass into a workable shape.

One of the most memorable parts of this project was watching Marcel changing out elements on all 3 of the fully heated furnaces.  Wow!
