The Celestial Series Glass Water Pipe is available once again from Chameleon Glass. The Celestial Series Glass Water Pipe features intense wrap and rake technique over the entirety of the model. We call it fully worked. The throat of this water pipe features a technically difficult triple doughnut that redirects the smoke path against the glass to remove any leftover ash or particulate matter. Wrap describes how a very small strand of molten color is wrapped or reeled onto the glass. Think fishing line returning back onto a fishing rod. No small feat as each individual color behaves very differently than other colors in the exact same flame setting. The artist has to master not only the lathe operation standards for clear scientific, but also each and every individual color in the model design. Rake describes the process that uses a thicker clear rod to push and pull the wrapped color into unique patterns on the glass. The rake also creates awesome color change 'windows' between the colors while also creating brand new unintended colors. These new colors are created at the boundary of different colors. Mixes of colors at these boundaries form when two different colors are schmeared together. Think Purple when a line of Red is schmeared into a line of Blue. Another sweet aspect of wrap and rake is the artist is adding glass to the base tube. The additional glass adds depth and dimensional beauty while also adding heft. The Celestial Series also features abstract art marbles on the neck and a Mercury Seal style joint that strengthens the union at the downstem.
