Functionally, the model took a while to perfect back in 2002, torches were not as well designed and glass was more brittle, so, the model really took some doing to get the gather and then the stretch to expand uniformly. I designed the Gandalf Pipe as a throwback to the classic pipe style that I fell in love with after LOTR debutted in 2001. This piece has a long drop, which gives extra cooling space for your smoke. Dancer Series Glass Pipe
The Dancer Series Glass Pipe is a selection of pipes made with three complementary or contrasting colors that speak to a specific theme. We named them Dancers because of the way the torch flame dances around in the turbulence created by how thick we lay the color wrap on the pipe. The Festivarian Glass Pipe is a nod to all the pieces I have run into while out festivating at open air concerts. The Faded Frit Ribbed Glass Pipe is a twin tone masterpiece, each displaying a significant combination of colors. The colors we have chosen are to represent a minimum of 90% of the professional and collegiate teams playing in the United States. You should be able to find your team colors! We start with pulverized colored glass called frit. A tube of Contourex (glass with internal shaping) is filled with frit and rolled in the flame to evenly distribute the colored frit in between the internal shaping of the tube. The Contourex we use is ribbed, or sometimes called scalloped. The frit is then worked into a ribbed pattern, before being completely melted into the glass. The Ash Catcher Slugger Glass Pipe is our smaller nod to a Chameleon Glass classic innovation created in 2002. It is so named because of the indented mouthpiece that serves as the dry filter ash catcher and the slugger baseball bat shape. One of many Chameleon Glass innovations, first available in early 2002, the Ash Catcher was one of the first! By indenting the mouthpiece, anything heavier than air (ash, particulate or any solids) is pulled down by the natural effect of gravity, misses the mouthpiece hole and is deflected further downward to collect at the base of the indent, instead of being pulled into your mouth. The Big Bowl Ash Catcher Honeycomb Screen Glass Pipe is named for its large, deep Honeycomb Screen bowl and its Ash Catcher Mouthpiece. Normal punch size for a similar color changing glass pipe is either 3/8" or 1/2", this heavy duty unit boasts a 5/8" wide x 3/4" deep bowl. After requests too numerous to list, we made 10 prototypes, all with different width and depth combinations. It was quite a bit of 'work' to load all 10 with the same leaf and then use test them, but, that's what our customers expect! Normal bowl size is probably best for 90% of our customers. Anything bigger than the big bowl specification and you start getting nothing but char flavor from your smoke. It is so named because of the indented mouthpiece that serves as the dry filter ash catcher and the stand up style Sherlock shape. By indenting the mouthpiece, anything heavier than air (ash, particulate or any solids) is pulled down by the natural effect of gravity, misses the mouthpiece hole and is deflected further downward to collect at the base of the indent, instead of being pulled into your mouth. The Big Bowl Ash Catcher Glass Pipe is named for its large, deep bowl and its Ash Catcher Mouthpiece. Normal bowl punch size for a similar color changing glass pipe is either 3/8" or 1/2", this heavy duty unit boasts a 5/8" wide x 3/4" deep bowl. After requests too numerous to list, we made 10 prototypes, all with different width and depth combinations. It was quite a bit of 'work' to load all 10 with the same leaf and then use test them, but, that's what our customers expect! Normal bowl size is probably best for 90% of our customers. Anything bigger than the big bowl specification and you start getting nothing but char flavor from your smoke. That's where the optimal big bowl size comes from: big enough for a good circle, not soooo big that you get the flavor of ash.
