Layer 1 Silver or Gold Fume on glass tube prior to marbles or shaping. Layer 2 Marbles to encapsulate that first fume layer and burn off the remaining un-encapsulated fume. Layer 3 Fume with the 'other' precious metal. Layer 4 Marbles to encapsulate the second fume layer and burn off the remaining un-encapsulated fume. At least 2 of these are added on top of existing fumed marbles to add dimensionality and different colors within the first fume layer. The resulting tube is then worked and shaped into a spoon.
