Mumbo Jumbo Steam Roller Glass Pipe
$17.99
The Mumbo Jumbo Steam Roller Glass Pipe is a simple yet elegant pipe that speaks to minimalism in design. Straight, Clear and adorned with 12 specified color marbles at the mouthpiece. The Mumbo Jumbo Steam Roller Glass Pipe fits neatly into a pocket for on the go, or conveniently into a drawer.
Steamrollers are a newer accessory driven by how they came into being. They are bond necks from bongs and waterpipes that did not make it past the lather process. When bongs fail during creation, they typically fail at the chamber. A crack in the can leaves the neck in tact. The lather operator artist then melts the can off and fire polishes the end, leaving the body of a steamroller. After a session in the annealing oven, the body is taken to a workstation where the artist uses a pinpoint flame to superheat a small area where air pressure is applied and used to pop a small hole. A wider flame then heats a half dollar size area and a carbon rod pushes the bowl.
Steamrollers were a way for lathe artists to create a saleable pipe from the scraps of a broken bong. What we found was that a steamroller also created an extremely impactful pull because there was no body of ambient air in the pipe to diffuse the smoke. When you remove your open hand from the end, the pipe immediately clears because the size of the whole covered by your hand is much larger than the bowl hole. A pull on a steamroller is fast and dense. Because of that, we have customers who will buy nothing other than a steamroller. These days, steamrollers are designed as steamrollers, not just a way to recoup your glass cost from a broken bong.
