The Gandalf Ash Catcher Glass Pipe is so named because of the overall shape and the indented mouthpiece. One of many Chameleon Glass innovations, first available in early 2002, this was one of the first and is still a very popular piece! By indenting the mouthpiece, anything heavier than air (ash, particulate or any solids) is pulled down by the natural effect of gravity, misses the mouthpiece hole and is deflected further downward to collect at the base of the indent.Ever done archery? The Rainbow Gandalf Glass Pipe came to me as I was watching TV with my kids. Dramarama was going to commercial, and I was going to the bathroom (equipped with a super sucker vent fan for my puffing pleasures) when a Skittles commercial popped up. As I rounded the corner of the couch, and, Munchifried as I was, I stopped to watch the tagline '..Taste the Rainbow..' and this awesome colorful mini Gandalf shot out of a cloud! Well, it wasn't ACTUALLY a mini Gandalf, turns out on further inspection (love that rewind on the DVR) it was a rainbow, but, Dayummm, sure looked like a gandalf to me (Surprise). Ever since I was introduced to ice separation /concentration at the Harvest Cup, I have enjoyed bubble hash. No, not extracted oil like those damn pens, bubble hash. It's different. What's the difference you ask. Bubble and other concentrates do not employ solvents, aerosolizers or chemical thinners necessary for extraction / use in 'vape' pens. Solvents, aerosolizers and thinners stay in your extracted oil. Solvents also strip out all the 'other' good stuff like natural terpenes (flavonoids) and non-THC cannabinoids (CBD, CBG and CBN).
