The Yin Yang Glass Pipe reminds us of balance. We all have offsetting sides of our persona. Instead of good and bad, I prefer to think of a color wheel with complementary and contrasting colors. Orange and Blue are both visually attractive colors, but for different reasons. They work well together when in balance. We are all like those colors where sometimes one color is more appropriate than another without diminishing the worth or efficacy of the the other. While not exactly a direct translation, Yin Yang is similar to Bao Quan from martial arts: The left palm with its 4 fingers represent the 4 nurturing elements: Virtue, Wisdom, Health, and Art. The left thumb is slightly bent to imply one should never be arrogant or self-centered. The right fist symbolizes rigorous practice, strength and attack, while the left, being virtuous and disciplined, stops the attack, symbolizing self-discipline, balance and restraint.
