Piece of the Day 092021Today's Piece of the Day is an authentic Shubuh Micro-Bub. Fabricated from top to bottom with Fade to Black from Trautman, this abstract  dab rig is a Tour de Force on how to use one of the more difficult colors available in our palette. Heavy with encapsulated silver oxide, Fade to Black refuses to be controlled, offering variations in color that completely change size, shape and intensity when cooled from torch temp (2500) to annealing temp (1050) and again at room temperature.Why does it matter? It's a bitchy color to use AND you never know what it is going to look like when you open the kiln doors the next day. Even when you have one of the dopest shapes available in a rig, the color can slap the blower in the face the next day by being totally black, totally grey or, in this case...totally awesome! The handmade 10mm male joint comes with a decorative matching joint shroud for display and ships with a 10mm female quartz nail.Piece of the Day 092021 is the latest addition from a collection of very unique one of a kind Chameleon prototypes alongside local Arizona artist pieces that we've conserved and curated over the years.
